Q: I just read that drinking chocolate milk after a workout is a good way to help your muscles recover. Is chocolate soy milk as good?

A: Research on chocolate milk found it worked as well as sports drinks to help muscles recover faster. Since the effect comes partly from the protein and carbohydrates in the milk, and certain compounds in the chocolate, it's likely that chocolate soy milk would do the trick, too. Pick a non-fat mix. Either one is likely to be cheaper (and contain fewer chemicals) than sports recovery products.
