When dying, pets may have it better

Overwhelmed by the response – heartfelt, anguished – to my last column about the right of elderly people to die, I am compelled to share the stories of Star readers who basically communicated the same message: too many of them are "tortured," to use the word of one, as they watch their aged parents suffer a slow and painful death.
