Only 30% of Ontario residents have H1N1 shot

Ontario's top medical official says only 30 per cent of the province's population has received the H1N1 shot.
The target had been to vaccinate 70 per cent of the population, and Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Arlene King repeated her message today that people should not become complacent.
King says although flu activity is decreasing, there are still new hospitalizations and deaths from swine flu.
She says flu season lasts all winter and H1N1 will continue to circulate, so people so get immunized.
The province also announced today that it will being offering seasonal flu shots after having limited that vaccine to people over age 65.
Ontario has seen 106 deaths from H1N1 since April.
The province reports an average of 9,000 cases of seasonal flu each year and approximately 500 deaths.
