President’s Choice Chocolate Chunk Cookies recalled

August 18, 2010 THE CANADIAN PRESS

Loblaws is warning the public to avoid in-store baked President’s Choice Decadent Chocolate Chunk Cookies because they may contain small round metal pieces.

The affected products are sold in packages of eight cookies weighing 352 grams (with the universal product code 0 6038383903 8).

The products are sold nationally at Loblaws and affiliated independent stores.

All cookies — potentially containing metal pieces one-millimetre in diameter have — been pulled from store shelves.

Customers can return the cookies to any Loblaw store for a full refund even if they don’t have a receipt.

The company is apologizing for any concern the recall may have caused and says it takes the health and safety of its customers very seriously.
