On Friday, Swift dropped her 11th studio album, ”The Tortured Poets Department,” (TTPD) a 31-track surprise double album full of introspection, grief and closure. “Once we have spoken our saddest story, we can be free of it,” she said in a post on X.
In true Swift fashion, the weeks leading up to the release were full of mystery for the fans, as the artist put up 13 posters and murals with QR codes in different cities across the globe, each revealing a letter spelling out, “For a fortnight,” which turned out to be the lead single from the new album. Swift also sent a secret message to fans using random capitalizations in her song lyrics on Apple Music, revealing one word a day for six days, later revealed to be a lyric from her song, “How Did It End?”
