A handout photo issued by the Royal Household on March 27, 2024 shows Britain’s King Charles III in the 18th Century Room at Buckingham Palace in London, recording an audio message for the Royal Maundy Service on March 28.

A pre-recorded message, played at Worcester Cathedral on Thursday, are the first public remarks from King Charles since Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales, announced her cancer diagnosis.

The message, recorded in mid-March according to PA Media, made no mention of his or Kate’s health.
